There is more to tuning then just trying to get highest Hp an Tq number at full throttle.
The majority of tuning is done on a Mustang MD 250 eddy current chassis dyno. Where tuning can be done safely!
I have been in the automotive driveability industry for many, many, years and experience has taught me many lessons as carb and efi tuning is nothing new to me. Every car that gets on the dyno, it gets a different tune, as each car is different in many ways, this is why every car leaves with a different tune.
You hear many shops give more timing and lean out the motor to get more power out of it. All that does is make your engine run to it's edge of breakage.
To me a chassis dyno, is a tuning tool!
I tune conservative so your motor will live a long, long life, pass after pass of hard running on the street or the track and the different weather changes.
You have to sacrifice something to get longevity.
There are always, ways to cut corners and to get more out of your motor, but with a price to pay.
I have enough tuning time invested in supercharged and naturally aspirated cars to know what a motor can handle and it's limitations (especially my supercharged car). When all dyno tuning is done I road test every car, so it still has it's streetability and factory idle quality where it is possible to obtain.

The dyno we use is an MD 250 eddy current power absorption unit (PAU) with air-cooled, frictionless operation, infinitely variable loading and capable of dynoing 1250 hp at 175 mph. The MD250 can handle up to 12.000lbs of axle weight!This produces true life results which can be duplicated on the track. Don't be fooled by some Dynos which don't give results which match your track runs.We can also dyno your car or truck on either direction on the dyno.
THE MUSTANG DYNO IS THE ONLY DYNO THAT CAN GIVE A QUARTER MILE PASS ON A REAL CHRISTMAS TREE WITHIN 2 TENTHS OF A SECOND ACCURACY.
